Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus was vaccinated today at the Latsia Health Center at 10:30.
Afterwards, the Archbishop said to the reorders that he had been vaccinated and that he did so without even being afraid.
“I was not afraid and I would like to thank the scientists who invented this vaccine to help people get antibodies and tackle the pandemic,” he said.
He also stated that we must all realize that, along with the other diseases, we will also overcome it and that we must be strict with the measures announced by the government because, if we do not listen to them, we will not do well.”
In fact, as the Archbishop stated, he told the President of Cyprus that from the beginning “we will be strict.”
“I believe that no one got ill inside the church because from the first beginning we implemented the measures, maintaining social distancing and wearing dace masks,” he said about the measures followed in the churches.
“For a while, we have to be careful not to let the other person get very close to us, we all have to be strict to get rid of the virus as quickly as possible,” he concluded.
