The consecration ceremony of the new facilities of the KEO company in Larnaca was held in the afternoon of Thursday by Archbishop Chrysostomos II of Cyprus. It is noted that a major shareholder of the KEO brewery is the Holy Archdiocese of Cyprus.
These new KEO warehouses will, according to KEO’s new strategic plan, serve the Larnaca province and beyond, thus confirming the spectacular improvement of the Company’s results in recent years.
In his greeting, Archbishop Chrysostomos stated that “A major shareholder of the Company is not the Archbishop but the Church. The Archbishop, presides and is interested, but the Church and its associates are the shareholder. Because of the good associates, the Church is doing so well today that I proudly declare that in the 2000 years of the Church’s course, it has never offered so much as today.”
The Archbishop of Cyprus said that “the more money the Church receives in its investments, the more money will go to the people. The Church’s money is primarily for the world in need, for those who are hungry, for the sick who must find their health. God knows it and that’s enough. We do not want anyone else to know… What I can assure those who work in the Company is that I will always take care of everyone, mostly for our people’s good.”
