The second priests’ assembly of the clergy of the Archdiocese of Cyprus for the current church year was held on Thursday morning at the Great Hall of the Archdiocesan Mansion.
Following the established prayer, Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus spoke on current affairs, highlighting the position and attitude of clergy in the modern world, and emphasizing the value of proper and useful life and catechism.
Archbishop Chrysostomos drew the attention of the priests to the sensitive area of youth, especially those intended for the clergy.
In his speech, the Archbishop of Cyprus focused on describing the proper attitude of the priests towards every churchgoer, stressing that “our main concern must be to calm their souls of our fellow human beings, no matter how rigorous they are”.
“I do not want any faithful to be sad when leaving the Church, but we always have to offer love,” said the Archbishop.
