The meeting of the Standing Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, which began on January 8, has been concluded.
Initially, the SHS was informed of the letter of Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem to Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece about the meeting of the Orthodox Primates.
Archbishop Ieronymos replied that he would not attend the meeting because convening meetings and synods of the Orthodox Primates is a canonical privilege of the Ecumenical Patriarch.
The SHS was informed by Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Messinia about the discussions with the competent authorities of the Greek government on the issue of the utilization and management of the church property.
