On the second day of his visit to Kefalonia, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America headed to Argostoli, the capital of the island of Kefalonia, and visited a Nursing Home, the Municipal Nursing Home, and then he departed for the Holy Monastery of Saint Andreas of Milapidia.
The Archbishop was accompanied by Metropolitan Demetrios of Kefallinia.
Archbishop Elpidophoros had the opportunity to talk with the old people of the Municipal Nursing Home of Argostoli. He said that the good reputation of the Municipal Nursing Home of Kefalonia, the love and care for its people, had reached the other side of the Atlantic!
Afterwards, the Archbishop of America visited the Church of St. Andrew in Milapidia. The police director of Kefalonia Ioannis Boubis and the police director Georgios Giannatos welcomed him.
After venerating the holy relic of Saint Andrew, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America was given an excellent tour by Konstantinos Staveris at the church museum in the Holy Monastery.
The Kefalonian expatriates living in the USA, as well as priests from the island, accompanied the Archbishop.
