Archbishop Elpidophoros of America extends a warm invitation to all faithful to register and attend the 2024 Clergy-Laity Congress.
Archbishop Elpidophoros stated that from Sunday, June 30th to Thursday, July 4th, we will explore our unity in Christ and its significance for our parishes, metropolises, and the Archdiocese of America. He said that this reminds us that we are not only united with the head of the Church but also with one another. We are members of one another. He added that this a profound way for fellow Christians to realize our spiritual potential. The Clergy-Laity Congress becomes an exercise in perceiving and understanding our interdependency in Christ, he pointed out. He reminded that we are called not only to see no stranger but to recognize our vocation to behold one another. Fianlly, the Archbishop recalled that when we realize this, we begin to perceive the impact of our actions on others and ourselves because love and care for others become love and care for ourselves.
