Archbishop Elpidophoros of America gave his blessing to Presbyter Alexandros Douvres as he began his new assignment on September 1st as the third priest at the community of Saint Nicholas in Flushing, New York.
Father Alexandros was born in New York, New York, and raised in the Zoodohos Peghe Greek Orthodox community.
He graduated from Hellenic College in 2019 and from Holy Cross School of Theology in 2022.
During his time at Hellenic College, he met his wife Eirene and they were married on August 21, 2021.
He was ordained a Deacon on June 30th, 2022 and a Presbyter on August 6th, 2022.
