On Saturday, September 23rd, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America visited Socrates Academy in Matthews, NC, and presided over the laying of the cornerstone service for their high school expansion.
The Archbishop was joined by Metropolitan Alexios, Metropolitan Dimitrios of Xanthos, and Metropolitan Gregory of Nyssa, as well as local clergy. Also in attendance was Consul George Fostiropoulos from the Greek Embassy of Washington, D.C.
Socrates Academy is a preparatory school for college and career readiness that works in partnership with our local and global community to inspire scholars to reach their full academic and intellectual potential.
