His sorrow for the events of the “wild assassination of innocent orthodox children in Seleucopolis (Al-Suqaylabiyah)” Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana and all Albania expressed to Patriarch John of Antioch.
As he mentions in a letter, the tragic events took place during a Christian lesson, by fanatical jihadists, “in the name of God”.
Anastasios says that he wholeheartedly shares the grief of the families of the children of the Patriarch of Antioch.
He is praying on behalf of all the faithful of the Orthodox Church of Albania, for God to give eternal life to the victims, to comfort their families, and to strengthen the Patriarch in order to support the flock of the Patriarchate of Antioch.
