Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece enthroned the new Abbot of Virgin Mary Theomitor (Mother of God) Holy Monastery at Ilioupolis, Nun Pelagia.
After the Vesper Service, which was presided by Archbishop Symeon of Thespies, assisted by Bishop Agapios of Kehrees, Archbishop of Athens and All Greece enthroned the new Abbess of the monastery, nun Pelagia, stressing that “we have an obligation to enhance our gifts, but, as the Lord said, if we keep to ourselves the talents we gain by our struggle then we become heretics, we serve ourselves and not the work of God”.

Ieronymos also wished Nun Pelagia to always bear the grace of the Holy Spirit. “May the Holy Spirit that illuminates human being and supports our struggle be always with you in this new task and endeavor” said the Archbishop, referring to the responsibilities of the new Abbess, especially those that have to do with the monastery’s schools.
