Archbishop Gregorios of Thyateira and Great Britain met with the President of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, accompanied by his spouse, at the seat of the Archdiocese in London.
At the meeting, Archbishop Gregorios awarded the President of Cyprus and his spouse the Cross of Archbishop of Thyateira.
President Anastasiades briefed the Archbishop on the latest developments on the Cyprus issue, while welcoming the event in Buckingham Palace in honor of the Cypriot diaspora in the United Kingdom. The President highlighted the significant contribution of Cypriot emigrants to their country of residence, mainly in the struggles of the Cypriot people and the efforts of the government to reunite Cyprus.
The meeting was also attended by the Government Spokesman Prodromos Prodromou and the High Commissioner of Cyprus in the United Kingdom Euripides Euriviadis.
