Archbishop Elpidophoros welcomed to the Archdiocese Headquarters Metropolitan Saba of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America.
During their conversation, the two hierarchs insisted on the importance of Orthodox unity in the country. This meeting was also an opportunity to share some of the results of the General Convention of the Antiochian Archdiocese that took place in Phoenix, Arizona, last July, in presence of His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch.
Finally, Archbishop Elpidophoros wished safe travels to Metropolitan Saba as he is scheduled to travel to the Middle East for the upcoming session of the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Antioch.
Metropolitan Saba was joined by V. Rev. Archpriest Thomas Zain, Vicar General of the Antiochian Archdiocese. Were also present during the encounter: V. Rev. Archimandrite Nektarios Papazafiropoulos, Chancellor of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne Panagiotis Papazafiropoulos, Director of the Archbishop’s Office and Protopresbyter Nicolas Kazarian, Director of the Inter-Orthodox, Ecumenical, Interfaith Relations Department.
