The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, with a group of local physicians, arrived at the Halki Seminary this morning.
He was received by the Abbot, Bishop Kassianos of Arabissos, and his brotherhood. Ecumenical Patriarch spoke to the guests during a reception in the Ceremony Hall of the Seminary about its history and importance as a spiritual nursery of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
The visitors were then guided by Abbot, Bishop Kassianos, to the classrooms, the Synod, the dormitories, the library, and the other premises of the Seminary.
During his stay, the Ecumenical Patriarch also met with local government officials from Cappadocia and a group of pilgrims from Greece.
