It is with great pleasure that the Parish of St. Spyridon, in Kingsford, Sydney, announces, with the blessing of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, to the Greek Diaspora, the beginning, as of today, January 11, 2021, of the competition of expression and creation on the occasion of the completion of 200 years since the Greek Revolution (1821 – 2021). The theme of the competition is “Greece, a country of light, faith and culture”.
The competition is addressed to two groups of candidates: students and adults.
The expats wishing to participate are invited to create projects in the following fields: poetry and literature, painting, music and video.
The deadline for submitting applications and projects is March 30, 2021.
The projects will be evaluated by a special jury. In each category will be given A, B and C Prize, while all participants will be given commemorative diplomas of participation. The awarded works will be presented at a special event in the framework of the Anniversary Program of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia for the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution.
