US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 that he will be touring seven US allies in Europe, the Middle East and the Caucasus.
According to a statement released by his services, the US Secretary of State will visit France, Turkey, Georgia, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Pompeo will meet with allied leaders who have already unequivocally acknowledged the victory of Democrat Joe Biden in the November 3 presidential elections in the United States; although Republican President Donald Trump refuses to admit his defeat and propagates justice.
The tour, which starts on Friday and ends on November 23, will start in Paris, where Pompeo will meet with the French President, Emmanuel Macron.
Macron spoke with Biden yesterday, whom he congratulated on his victory.
Pompeo will then travel to Turkey, where he will meet with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to discuss “issues of religious interest in Turkey and the region and to promote [the United States]’s strong stance on religious freedom throughout the world.”
After Turkey, he will go to Georgia.
He will then travel to the Middle East, where Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE have already acknowledged Biden’s victory, although Trump continues to reject it.
