The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the Ministry of Defense announced that three journalists were injured during the bombing of the cathedral in the city of Shusha by Azerbaijani forces one of whom was seriously injured.
On October 1, in the city of Martuni in Nagorno-Karabakh, three journalists, including a journalist from the newspaper Le Monde and a cameraman were injured in bombings by the Azerbaijani army.
As reported by Ria Novosti’s correspondent, fragments of rockets were found inside the temple, while the priest of the temple stated that he saw in the sky during the bombing either an unmanned aircraft (drone) or an aircraft.
The Cathedral of Christ the Holy Savior in Shusha was built in the period 1858-1887 and belongs to the Armenian Apostolic Church. It was partially destroyed during the Soviet era and was used for military purposes in the 1992-1994 Nagorno-Karabakh war. In 1998 the cathedral was renovated.
