Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew presided over the Divine Liturgy on 31 May 2020 at the Patriarchal Cathedral of St George.
The Orthodox Church commemorates today the 318 God-bearing Holy Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council that took place in the Bithynian city of Nicaea in 325 AD.
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated behind closed doors in the attendance of some clergymen of the Patriarchal Court due to the precautionary measures and the ban on non-essential transport and movement to stem the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew presided over the Vespers Service yesterday in the evening.
