The Greek Orthodox Community of Toulon in the French Riviera celebrates its 60th anniversary today. Bishop Maximos of Melitene presided over the Divine Liturgy along with Protopresbyters Fr. Konstantinos Papakosmas and Fr. Andreas Louchkoff.
The Bishop of Melitene sent a message on behalf of Metropolitan Emmanuel of France in which he stated, “Parish life, through Holy Communion and its educational and charitable work, is a continuous spiritual endeavour of the Gospel Mission. Let us remember that Orthodox theology is based on the mystery of God’s communion with humans.”
Bishop Maximos was welcomed by the President of the Greek Community, Mr Antonios Zeandet, who attended the reception ceremony.
