For a seventh consecutive year, the Youth Office of the Archdiocese of Athens has made a contribution to first year students, giving them the opportunity to cover their first student expenses.
Specifically, scholarships to seventeen first-year students and students from various parishes of the Archdiocese were granted by Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, in order to cover the first costs of their studies at the country’s universities.
The students informed the Archbishop about the schools and the departments that they have entered, as well as their future plans and expectations.
The Archbishop then congratulated the children on their admission to higher education institutions and wished them courage and strength for their studies, while emphasizing that the Church will always be with them for whatever they need.
“It takes hard work and attention,” the Archbishop noted, and urged new students to get as many skills as they can.
