The Church of the Holy Trinity at the Theological School of Halki celebrated with solemnity and devotion on Holy Spirit Monday, June 24. The Orthros and Hierarchical Divine Liturgy were presided over by Metropolitan Maximos of Selyvria on behalf of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
Archbishop Nektarios of Anthidon, Commissioner of the Holy Sepulchre, the Abbot, Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos, a group of graduates of the Theological School led by Professor Nikolaos Xexakis, President of the Theological Center of Halki in Athens, clergy and monks, as well as believers from the Princes’ Islands, Constantinople, and Greece, attended the service.
At the subsequent reception held in the Great Synodikon of the School, the Abbot addressed the attendees, reflecting on the feast of the day and highlighting the extensive renovation of the School’s building complex, generously sponsored by the Archon Exarch of the Holy Great Church of Christ, Athanasios Martinou. Professor Xexakis, President of the Theological Center of Halki, and Metropolitan Maximos of Selyvria also offered greetings.
