On the occasion of the commemoration of the memory of the Apostles Bartholomew and Barnabas, where the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew celebrates his Patronal Feast Day, His All-Holiness will officiate at the Feast Day Vespers, on Monday, 10 June 2024, beginning at 6:00 pm in the Venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George in the Phanar.
As indicated in the relevant announcement, the Patriarch will then perform the Agiasmos (Sanctification Service) to complete the renovation of the Marasleion School located next to the Patriarchal Church. After the end of the Sanctification Service, a reception will be held on the premises of the School, during which the Ecumenical Patriarch will receive the respect and well wishes of the clergy and the faithful people for his name day celebration.
On the next day, Tuesday, 11 June 2024, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will officiate from the throne during the Divine Liturgy of the feast day which will take place at the Venerable Patriarchal Church at the Phanar, where he will be joined by the Holy Hierarchs from Constantinople and those coming from abroad.
After the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, the Ecumenical Patriarch will be addressed by the first in order of the Holy Hierarchs, Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, and His All-Holiness will duly respond to the wishes and address.
