On Thursday, August 11, 2022, the students of St. George College Adelaide, from pre-kindergarten to grade 12, prayed together during the Liturgy of the Small Canon of Supplication to the Most Holy Theotokos, which was performed at St. George’s Church in Thebarton by Bishop Silouan of Sinope, accompanied by Fr. Panagiotis Fotakis, Fr. Konstantinos Skoumbourdis and Fr. Jeremiah Krieg.
At the end of the Paraklesis Service, Bishop Silouan spoke about the Most Holy Theotokos and the infinite love She has for all of us.
He also spoke of the importance of prayer and humility, and of the gift of penance that God has given us to seek and receive forgiveness.
The Bishop conveyed to the students and teachers the heartfelt blessings and paternal love of Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
He also thanked the Principal of the College, Mr. Karamoschos, and the teachers for their tireless efforts, and the students for their piety.
