The double religious and national holiday of March 25 was celebrated at the Archdiocesan Church of Saint Eustathios in South Melbourne.
His Eminence Metropolitan Ezekiel of Dervis assisted by His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Ezekiel and Bishop Kyriakos performed the memorial prayers for the Heroes of the Greek National Revolution of 1821, and the three-year memorial service for Archbishop Stylianos of Australia of blessed memory.
After Metropolitan Ezekiel of Dervis thanked Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis for his participation in the Divine Liturgy. His Grace Bishop Kyriakos in turn conveyed the paternal wishes and prayers of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia to all the faithful.
The Divine Liturgy was attended by the Consul General of Greece in Melbourne Mr. Emmanuel Kakavelakis, Mrs. Maria Vamvakinou, Member of Parliament for Calwell, and Mr. Antonios Tsourdalakis, President of the Inter-Community Council of Parishes and Communities of Victoria, delegation of teachers and students of the Greek Orthodox College of St. John of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia and a large number of believers.
