On Thursday, January 16, 2020, Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain had a meeting with Prokopis Pavlopoulos, President of the Hellenic Republic, at the premises of the Embassy of Greece in Dublin.
The President referred to the significant changes that have been made in the three great Eparchies of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, America, Great Britain and Australia, and to the fact that three enlightened Hierarchs have taken the helm of these Eparchies.
For his part, the Archbishop, after conveying to the President the wishes of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, spoke of the importance of the presence of expatriate Greeks in these Eparchies but also of the fact that these people support and reinforce the Church, the Orthodox faith and testimony and continue the customs and traditions of Hellenism and the Greek Nation in general.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Greece to Dublin, Aikaterini Simopoulou and Deputy Minister for Diaspora Greeks Konstantinos Vlasis. The Archbishop was accompanied by Archimandrites Nicodemus Anagnostopoulos and Spyridon Kezios, Protosyncellus Anastasios Salapatas and Archdeacon Eugenios Tsaramanidis.
