On Saturday evening, May 11, the people of Nea Smyrni welcomed the Holy Skulls of Agioi Anargyroi, Kosmas and Damianos of Rome, from St. Panteleimon Monastery of Mount Athos.
The Holy Skulls were carried by Hieromonk Nikolaos and were welcomed at Agioi Anargyroi Church, Nea Smyrni, by Metropolitan Symeon of Nea Smyrni, the Holy Clergy and local Authorities.
It should be noted that the Sacred Skulls of Agioi Anargyroi, Kosmas and Damianos of Rome, which are preserved in St. Panteleimon Monastery of Mount Athos, are hosted for the first time in Attica, and shall remain in the Holy Church until Monday, May 20, 2019.
An Archieratic Vesper was also held, presided by Metropolitan Symeon of Nea Smyrni.
Metropolitan Symeon thanked the Primate of the Holy St. Panteleimon Monastery for allowing the transfer of the Holy Skulls to St. Anargyroi Church, and the Hieromonks Nikolaos and Zosimas for carrying them.
