A youth meeting day is organized by the Metropolis of Belgium, which will take place at the Ecole Sacré-Cœur deLindthout on Saturday, October 17, with keynote speaker, Elder Dr. Patriciu Vlaicu.
As Metropolitan Athinagoras of Belgium points out in his message, “In these difficult times when all humankind is facing the COVID-19 pandemic which has been changing our daily lives for more than seven months, those in charge of the Orthodox Youth of the Benelux want to send a hopeful message to our young people, to their families and to the society as a whole, inspired by the words Jesus addressed to the Apostles in the midst of a storm on the sea: “Do not be afraid!” (John6:20).”
The lecture and workshops will give young people the opportunity to express themselves and seek answers to their questions, and for us, it will be a chance to strengthen the ties of the Church with young people, emphasizes Metropolitan Athinagoras in his message.
“All are welcome: the premises are spacious and adapted to social distancing measures!
Wear the mask and stay healthy!” added the Metropolitan of Belgium.
