The Holy Monastery of St. Xenophon of Mount Athos brilliantly celebrated its patron Saint, the Great Martyr St. George.
Despite the adverse weather conditions due to the strong winds that did not allow the ships to approach, a large number of pilgrims attended the feast on the eve, along with representatives of the Holy Monasteries.
The invited Metropolitan Panteleimon of Maroneia and Komotini officiated at the overnight vigil where he celebrated with reverence the Divine Liturgy.
On the right choir, Elder Damaskinos from Nea Skete was singing, while the protopsaltis of the Metropolitan Church of St. Gregory Palamas of Thessaloniki, Ioannis Liakos, was on the left choir.
In the morning, the civil administrator of Mount Athos, Konstantinos Dimtsas, also attended the Divine Liturgy.
