On Bright Saturday, the 18th of April 2026, Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem received, on the occasion of the Feast of Pascha, the Apostolic Delegate – Nuncio, representative of the Vatican in the Holy Land, Cardinal Giorgio Lingua. They discussed how the Churches of Jerusalem cooperated and, in the power of the Light of the Resurrection of the Lord, overcame the difficulties from the grievous war during the Holy Week and Pascha.
Thereafter, Patriarch Theophilos received Priest Alexander of the Russian-speaking Community of Beersheba and Priest Alexander, Head of the Russian-speaking Community of the Patriarchate in Ashdod.
He subsequently received Mr Zedan together with teachers from the Arabic-speaking Schools of the Patriarchate.
He then received the family of Mr Jiries Gantous, a student of Theology at the Theological School of the University of Athens, who is supported by a scholarship of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
On Monday, 20th of April 2026, Patriarch Theophilos received Hieromonk Parthenios, Hegumen of the Holy Monastery in Katamon, concerning matters of his Monastery.
Thereafter, Patriarch Theophilos received Mr Caesar Marjieh of the Ministry of the Interior of Israel, together with Mr Anan Sanan, representative of the Police Department of the Old City of Jerusalem, Ms Tamy Ben-Haim of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr Iyad Sirhan of the Ministry of the Interior of Israel, who conveyed festive greetings on the occasion of the Feast of Pascha.
He then received the monk Vasileios concerning matters of the School of Sion, as well as the priests Loukas, Head of the Community of Burqin, and Father Ioannis, Head of the Community of Birzeit, who came to present their respects on the Feast of Pascha.
