Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, accompanied by Metropolitans Emmanuel of France and Maximos of Silivri, and Dimitar Atanasov, advisor and legal counsel of the Great Church of Christ, paid a courtesy visit today, August 7, to the new Mayor of Silivri, Volkan Yilmaz.
In the afternoon, the Ecumenical Patriarch officiated at the liturgy of the Theotokion of the Small Paraklesis held in the Holy Chapel of the Holy Unmercenaries, in the Nursing Home of Valoukli (Balikli) Charities.
The Ecumenical Patriarch then served a Trisagion for the soul of the late Metropolitan Panteleimon of Tyroloi and Serention, who died today at the age of 90.
