As part of the traditional exchange of delegations for the celebration of the respective patron saints — Peter and Paul on June 29 in Rome and Saint Andrew on November 30 in Constantinople — a delegation from the Ecumenical Patriarchate will visit Rome from June 27 to 29, 2025.
The delegation will be led by Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, president of the Ecumenical Patriarchate’s Synodal Commission for relations with the Catholic Church. He will be accompanied by Fathers Aetios and Ieronymos.
On Saturday, June 28, the delegation will be received in audience by Pope Leo XIV and will hold the customary talks with the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity. On Sunday, June 29, the delegation will attend the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by the Pope.
