The celebrations in the memory of the Holy Unmercenaries, Cosmas and Damianos, took place in the Holy Metropolitan Church in Nea Ionia, with the participation of many believers.
On Monday afternoon, July 1, 2019, Metropolitan Gabriel of Nea Ionia and Philadelphia celebrated the Vespers, and then a magnificent procession of the Icon of the Holy Unmercenaries, of Panagia Myrtidiotissa and of the Holy Relics of the Holy Unmercenaries and Saint Lavrentios followed on the streets of Nea Ionia.
At the end of the procession, the Metropolitan warmly thanked all the present clergy and laymen who participated in the servieces to honour the Holy Unmercenaries.
Later, a musical event was held in the courtyard of the Metropolitan Church, with traditional songs and dances from local Associations.
