The results of the elections of November 3, regarding the representation in the U.S. Congress, are positive for the Greek Diaspora in the United States.
This is because the five expatriate MPs who held a seat in the House of Representatives managed to renew their terms, while, in addition, another member of the Greek-American community was elected.
Specifically, the five MPs who succeeded in their re-election are the Democrats Charlie Crist, Chris Pappas, John Sarbanis and Dina Titus, and the Republican Konstantinos Bilirakis. With the Republican Party, Nicole Malliotakis was also elected, who is the new entry in the House of Representatives from the Greek Diaspora.
It is noted that the body of the Senate will not have any members of Greek origin.
However, the candidates from the Greek-American community record significant electoral successes in the state institutions as well.
