US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met today with the head of the Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine.
The meeting took place at St. Michael’s Cathedral in Kyiv as part of Blinken’s official visit to Ukraine.
During the visit, the American Foreign Minister was accompanied by his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba.
“We want to reaffirm the strong cooperation between our countries and also the support for the national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence of Ukraine, to declare our commitment to work with you, as long as you strengthen your democracy, build institutions, and you are fighting corruption,” Blinken said earlier during a meeting with Kuleba.
Before the meeting with Metropolitan Epifaniy, the US Secretary of State took part in a ceremony in honor of the dead Ukrainian heroes who lost their lives in recent years, defending the territorial integrity of their country.
