The Chancellery of the Holy Synod Wednesday published a set of updated guidelines for all parishes and monasteries within the Romanian Patriarchate in compliance with the new measures announced by the Romanian Minister of Internal Affairs to prevent infection with coronavirus.
All parishes and monasteries have to respect the measures ordered by the public authorities and cooperate with them, while also ensuring the religious freedom of the believers to participate in the liturgical life of the Church and to receive spiritual assistance.
In addition, religious services will be officiated only outdoors, usually near the place of worship (outdoor altar or porch), with the participation of maximum 100 people, keeping a distance of at least one meter between participants.
