The Turkish press continues the war rhetoric with reports of a siege of the militarized Greek islands and the return of Oruç Reis to Kastellorizo.
In particular, as reported by skai.gr, the pro-government newspaper Yeni Safak notes that the research vessel Oruç Reis, after its maintenance, will travel south of Kastellorizo and the research will last two months. At the same time, newspaper Yeni Safak states that “We put Lausanne on the discussion table. It has opened the Lausanne card against Athens, which is increasing the challenges in the Aegean and the Mediterranean.”
In fact, newspaper Yeni Safak warned Greece saying that Chios must be demilitarized.
Respectively, an article published in Turkiye follows an even more aggressive policy towards Greece, underlining in its article “key in Bosporus, a siege on the islands. We have the right to block the passage of Greek ships through the straits and we will besiege the islands, which will be demilitarized. To cut off our contact with Athens”.
