A C-130 military aircraft landed at Macedonia International Airport on Thursday, carrying the bodies of the seven PAOK supporters who lost their lives in the tragic road accident that occurred on Tuesday. The aircraft departed from Timișoara at approximately 16:30 local time.
Shortly before the departure, a Trisagion memorial service was held at Timișoara Airport by the local Orthodox Metropolitan. During the service, the hierarch placed a white rose on each of the seven coffins, in a moving gesture of prayer and respect for the victims.
In Thessaloniki, PAOK supporters’ associations gathered at Macedonia International Airport to pay tribute to their fellow fans. According to reports, they were present to receive the remains of the deceased and honor their memory.
Following the arrival, a motorcade was organized by PAOK supporters, who accompanied the coffins from the airport to Toumba, the historic home area of the club, in a final act of solidarity and farewell to the seven young men whose lives were tragically cut short.
