On the eve of the feast of the Entrance of the Theotokos into the Temple, according to the Julian calendar, on 3 December 2025, Metropolitan Job of Pisidia, presided at the Vespers of the Great Feast at the Holy Church of the icon of the Theotokos of Pisidia, in Alanya.
After the dismissal of Vespers, the Metropolitan performed the tonsure of the rassophore nun Agape (Liubov), who since the founding of the church in 2015 has dedicated herself to parish life, undertaking the chanting of divine services, catechesis and ensuring hospitality.
The Metropolitan gave the new nun spiritual admonitions and encouraged her to continue her important work. This was the first monastic tonsure since the restoration of ecclesiastical life in this metropolis of the Ecumenical Throne after the population exchange in Asia Minor. A banquet for all followed in the church’s main hall.
On the day of the feast, after the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, the Metropolitan awarded blessed certificates to the benefactors of the church, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of its construction.
