The annual ordinary general meeting of the Greek Community of Alexandria, which was to take place today, Sunday, December 20, was postponed due to a COVID-19 case that was confirmed in a member of the Community Committee.
As soon as this fact became known, the Greek Community of Alexandria contacted the competent Egyptian authorities, which, according to the required protocols, gave permission to postpone the meeting for at least one month.
According to a relevant announcement of the organization, “Following the instructions of the scientists and the Egyptian government, and having as its main concern the protection of all and its members, the Greek Community of Alexandria has to postpone the meeting of the general meeting scheduled for today. At the same time, it asks all its members and the parish to strictly observe the health measures and the instructions of safe social coexistence.”
The new date of the annual ordinary general meeting of the Greek Community of Alexandria will be announced in the coming days.
