On the occasion of the conclusion of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid al-Fitr (Seker Bayram), the Orthodox Metropolises of Thrace conveyed heartfelt wishes to their Muslim fellow citizens, once again highlighting the spirit of peaceful coexistence that defines the region.
Metropolitan Anthimos of Alexandroupolis, in his message, extended blessings to the local Muslim community, stating: “To the honorable Muftis and to our Muslim fellow citizens, I wish health, joy, blessings, and every good, so that we may all continue our peaceful and constructive work here in Thrace.”
Similarly, the Holy Metropolis of Xanthi and Peritheorion conveyed its own message, wishing “to our fellow Muslim citizens who are celebrating, many happy returns, health, and peace.”
In the same spirit, the Holy Metropolis of Maroneia and Komotini issued the following greeting:
“On the occasion of the celebration of Seker Bayram, we extend our warmest wishes to all our Muslim compatriots for health and prosperity, for the benefit of peaceful coexistence and the well-being of Thrace.”
