The miraculous icon of the Most Holy Theotokos “Softener of Evil Hearts” was solemnly received on the morning of February 1, 2025, at the Russian Church of the Holy Trinity in Belgrade.
A large number of faithful, forming a long procession in an atmosphere of peace and prayerful silence, arrived to venerate the sacred relic, which is displayed in the central part of the Russian church at Tašmajdan. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Vitaly Tarasyev, the head of the Representation of the Moscow Patriarchate in Belgrade.
With the blessing of Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia, the miraculous icon of the Most Holy Theotokos will remain in the Russian church until Sunday, February 2, 2025, when another Divine Liturgy will be served at 8:30 AM.
Throughout the day, thousands of faithful have continued to arrive to venerate and kiss the holy icon, which has come to Belgrade on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the enthronement of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
