The camping excursion of elementary, middle, and high school students to Chunchon continued on Thursday, February 13.
In the morning the Divine Liturgy was celebrated and all the campers participated and received the Holy Communion after all had confessed the previous evening.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Metropolitan of Korea and Exarch of Japan spoke about the Gospel passage (John 15: 12-17) commenting on the passage: «You are my friends if you do what I command you,» linking it to this year’s motto «Love Christ more, for Christ is All».
Because spiritual nourishment is followed by physical nourishment, breakfast and discussion with the children are followed.
In free time, joyful voices filled the camp, and games and music followed one another.
After lunch, an outing to a nearby ice rink was organized, where almost everyone had a “frozen”, wonderful fun and faces glowed even more on the white ice.
After returning to camp, fine treats awaited them, which were duly honored by all without exception, as well as much laughter during the hour of entertainment.
The next day, Friday, February 14th, and the last day of the winter camp for the students, the voices joined in praise and thanksgiving to the Holy God who has granted them so many wonderful experiences, opportunities, and fellowship.
The morning prayer was followed by a hearty morning meal – rich in food, but more so in emotions and spiritual experiences.
This was followed by the closing celebration of the season and somehow the friends departed with the promise to meet again together as soon as possible.
