Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East visited the region of the Valley of the Christians, where the local people warmly received him.
The welcoming procession began at the valley’s crossroads and concluded at the Patriarchal Monastery of Saint George of Humeira.
The Patriarch attentively listened to the concerns, thoughts, and requests of the faithful, who expressed their deep devotion to their homeland, their love for the Church, and their commitment to their country.
At the end of his visit, the Patriarch addressed those present, encouraging them to remain steadfast in their faith, and dedicated to the Church and their land. He expressed his hope that the coming days would bring good news, social peace, and security to Syria.
