The Holy Metropolis of Xanthi and Peritheorion announced that Pope and Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa will preside over the Service of the First Lenten (Kataniktikos) Vespers at the Holy Cathedral Church of Holy Wisdom in Xanthi on Sunday, 1 March 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
Archimandrite Fr. Michael Santorinaios, Preacher of the Holy Metropolis of Thessaloniki, will preach the divine word on the theme: “Orthodoxy Through Miracles.”

The Holy Metropolis hereby announces that on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., His Beatitude, the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria, Mr. Theodore, will preside over the Service of the First Lenten (Kataniktikos) Vespers at the Holy Cathedral Church of Holy Wisdom in Xanthi. The Very Reverend Archimandrite Fr. Michael Santorinaios, Preacher of the Holy Metropolis of Thessaloniki, will deliver an address on the theme: “Orthodoxy Through Miracles.”
