The new Metropolitan Ierotheos of Lemnos and St. Eustratius visited today, Saturday, November 2, the seat of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. He was accompanied by Metropolitans Chrysostomos of Dodoni and Nikolaos of Mesogaia and Lavreotiki.
The new Shepherd of the Metropolis of Lemnos, one of the ecclesiastical provinces of the Ecumenical Throne in Greece, requested, before his enthronement, the blessing of the Ecumenical Patriarch, which he finally received.
The Ecumenical Patriarch congratulated him on his meritorious election and wished him all the best.
Furthermore, the new Metropolitan of Lemnos and St. Eustratius still has strong ties with the Metropolitan of Dodoni. He had also served as Protosyncellus of the Metropolitan of Mesogaia and Lavreotiki.
During the meeting of the Ecumenical Patriarch with the three Metropolitans, they had the opportunity to discuss several church issues. Shortly afterwards, the Ecumenical Patriarch invited them to the luncheon he hosted for the clergymen and the associates of the Patriarchal Court on the 28th Anniversary since his enthronement (November 2, 1991).
