The Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa has announced the election of two new Bishops during a recent session of the Holy Synod.
Archimandrite Damaskinos was elected Bishop of Mareotis, and Archimandrite Ioakeim was appointed Bishop of Kigali and Rwanda.
The faithful of Cairo deeply esteem both newly elected bishops, who have distinguished themselves through their integrity, pastoral dedication, and the lasting impact of their ministry in every position they have held.
The clergy and laity alike received their election with heartfelt joy and emotion and pray that God grants them strength, wisdom, and health in their new mission and episcopal ministry.
