The new Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Naxos-Andros-Tinos-Mykonos and Apostolic Vicar of the Diocese of Chios, where the Catholic Community of Mytilene belongs, was elected today, according to an announcement by the Holy See of the Catholic Church.
The new Archbishop is the 51-year-old Fr. Joseph Printezis, who replaces the resigned Nikolaos Printezis (the outgoing Archbishop and the new one have the same surname by coincidence). It should be noted that the Catholic High-Priests according to the Canon Law of the Catholic Church at the age of 75 submit their resignation and are being replaced.
