From February 22 to 25, Metropolitan Ambrosios of Korea and Exarch of Japan, accompanied by Father Romanos Kavchak and Nikolaos Pinatsis, visited Tokyo, Japan.
During their stay in Tokyo, they officiated the Sunday service at the Anglican Church of St. Alban’s. Following the Divine Liturgy, they hosted a reception in the church hall for those who had attended the service, providing an opportunity for fellowship in an atmosphere of joy and love.
On Monday morning, they participated in a prayer service for the cessation of the war in Ukraine and for the repose of the souls of those who had perished on the battlefield on both sides. In the afternoon, they also took part in a protest rally against the war in Ukraine, advocating for the triumph of peace and justice.
In all his addresses at the gatherings mentioned above, the Metropolitan conveyed the reverent paternal blessings and best wishes of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. It delivered messages of spiritual edification and encouragement.
Additionally, on Tuesday, the Metropolitan collaborated with various organizations to enhance the structure and organization of the Orthodox Church in Japan under the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
