Metropolitan Emmanuel of France officiated on Sunday at the Saint Nino Orthodox Church in Paris, where President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili attended the liturgy, during an official visit to France.
Metropolitan Emmanuel welcomed the President of Georgia to the Eparchy of Saint Nino, which has been under the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Metropolis of France for 90 years.
He underlined that the President’s father is one of the founders of the parish and expressed the pride of the community and the Holy Metropolis for reaching the highest office, that of the President of Georgia.
The President of Georgia thanked the Metropolitan for his warm welcome, while the chief of Saint Nino Church Archpriest Arthil Davrichachvili welcomed the President and Metropolitan Emmanuel and highlighted the enthusiasm of the whole parish for this visit.
