Metropolitan Markos of Chios, Psara and Oinousses visited President of the Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos, at the Presidential Mansion today.
The meeting, which lasted 40 minutes, was cordial and the two leaders discussed issues of scientific interest.
The Metropolitan of Chios informed the President of the Republic regarding the International Scientific Conference on Homer in Cyprus, organized under the auspices of the President of Greece and of Cyprus.
Prokopis Pavlopoulos responded to the request of Metropolitan Markos, and decided to hold the International Scientific Conference on Mark the Evangelist under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic. It must be noted that the conference will be held by the Holy Metropolis of Chios in 2020.
