The memory of the Apostle Paul, founder of the Church of Greece, will be celebrated with brilliance

This year, the Church of Greece will celebrate the sacred memory of the Apostle to the Nations, Saint Paul, Founder of the Church of Greece, with brilliance.

On Sunday, June 28, 2020, at the Holy Temple of Saint Paul at 7.00 pm, Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Mithymna will officiate at the Vespers. In the Vespers, Archimandrite Serapion Michalakis, Second Secretary – Minute Book Keeper of the Holy Synod, will speak.

Also, on the same day and time, in the Cathedral of Apostle Paul in Corinth, Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Messinia will officiate as a representative of the Standing Holy Synod at at the Vespers, on the occasion of the festive events under the title 2020 “XIV Pavleia in Corinth 2020.”.

On the morning of the holiday, Monday, June 29, 2020, in the Holy Temple of Saint Paul in Athens, the Matin and the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, with the participation of the Bishops Filotheos of Oreoi and Filotheos of Rogoi. During the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Filotheos of Oreoi, Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, will speak.

On the afternoon of the same day at 7.00, on the Holy Rock Areopagus of ancient Athens, in memory of the preaching of the Apostle Paul to the Athenians, the Great Vespers will be celebrated, presided over by Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece. During the Vespers, Archimandrite Barnabas Theocharis, Protosyncellus of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens will speak.

Similarly, the local Holy Metropolises of the Church of Greece will celebrate, and especially those from whose region the Apostle Paul, Founder of the Church of Greece, has passed and preached.
